MobiVentures Appoints Nigel Nicholas to the Position of CEOLondon, UK - December 5th, 2007. MobiVentures Inc. (OTCBB: MBLV), an international provider of high quality mobile applications, content and services, today announced the appointment of Nigel Nicholas to the position of chief executive officer. Mr. Nicholas has served as a member of the board of directors since March 2007. Peter Ahman will remain chief financial officer and a director of the company.
With over 25 years of senior level experience in developing and implementing successful business strategies for companies within the e-commerce, Internet and mobile telecom industries, Mr. Nicholas, age 54, brings unique insight and a proven track record for building companies to MobiVentures. His depth and breadth of experience includes chief executive officer and co-founder of Move2Mobile Ltd, the UK’s foremost wireless business incubator and accelerator that has worked with over 100 start-up companies and entrepreneurs. Prior to founding Move2Mobile in 2002, Mr. Nicholas was director of strategy and operations at Lucent Technologies as part of the company’s GSM infrastructure business unit helping to grow the business from start-up to a $1.2 billion enterprise with over 2,000 employees in 5 worldwide locations. Previously, he held a number of key financial positions at AT&T Network Systems in the UK and Ireland over the course of 10 years, including financial controller and chief financial officer. Mr. Nicholas became a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) in 1981.
